Big Hole River Field Day

Focus: Water Education
Our goal is to introduce 4th - 8th grade students to water education by sharing hands-on, place-based scientific knowledge of the Big Hole Watershed.
Station Topics:

Transportation:
Buses from Beaverhead County will be used to transport students, teachers, volunteers and chaperones to the Big Hole River Field Day at the Kalsta ranch near Glen, MT. Students will maintain their regular school schedule. Students will be picked up at their school and will be returned for their regularly scheduled dismissal time.
What to bring:
- packed lunch, snack, and water
- sturdy, weatherproof s hoes for hiking and getting wet
- weatherproof coat and/or rain gear
- hat, gloves, winter coat, sunscreen - no flip flops!!
- extra clothes to change into if necessary
- be prepared for: walking 1/2 mile - winter weather, rain, or sunshine!
