In October, BHWC co-hosted 2 Bear Safety Awareness trainings with Danielle Oyler, Education Coordinator for the Southwest Montana Bear Education Working Group. Training included information on how to tell black bears from grizzly bears, what to do in case of a bear encounter, and how to properly use bear spray.  The mission of the SWMTBEWG is to reducing bear-human conflicts, increase social tolerance for bears, and promote the understanding of bears and their biology in Southwest Montana.
