BHWC met April 15th, 2026 at the Divide Grange Hall. The meeting was also available via Zoom thanks to a partnership with Southern Montana Telephone Company, who donates WiFi for the Grange Hall.
We were joined by Pat Fosse with the Southwest Montana Sagebrush Partnership and Dan & Colt High, Upper Big Hole Ranchers and members of the Big Hole Grazing Association. Pat, Dan, and Colt presented an overview of the Southwest Montana Sagebrush Partnership’s Flexible Grazing Project, highlighting its goals and progress to date. Eight pilot ranches began implementing revised grazing plans in 2025 using technologies such as virtual fencing. The Broksle Ranch, part of the Big Hole Grazing Association, is among the participants. Colt High shared his firsthand experience using eShepherd virtual fencing to meet both economic and environmental goals.
