It’s that time of year again – the air and water are heating up, and Hoot Owl restrictions have been implemented on several Southwest Montana rivers, including the Big Hole.
Hoot Owl restrictions, which restrict fishing after 2:00 PM (the hottest part of the day), protect the Big Hole River fishery in accordance with the Big Hole River Drought Management Plan.
