While this is alarming, the Big Hole watershed historically has had low numbers of grizzly bears, although each year, sightings are reported. BHWC believes in being prepared in order to prevent wildlife conflicts when possible. That’s why we offer free livestock carcass removal to Big Hole Valley ranchers. We also provide bear-resistant garbage cans to residents, free-of-charge and while supplies last.
