Visit BHWC at Montana Folk Festival!

July 10 @ 5:00 pm - July 12 @ 3:00 pm

The Big Hole Watershed Committee is excited to be part of the 2026 Montana Folk Festival in Butte, July 10–12!

If you’re attending the festival, be sure to stop by our booth at the water filling station next to the Original Stage. Whether you’re a longtime supporter, a Big Hole Valley local, or simply curious about one of Montana’s most iconic rivers, we’d love to visit with you.

Our staff and board members will be on hand throughout the weekend to answer questions, share information about current restoration and conservation projects, and talk about the many ways people can get involved in protecting and enhancing the Big Hole River watershed. Learn about stream restoration, water conservation, wildlife conflict reduction, volunteer opportunities, and the collaborative work being done to keep the Big Hole healthy for future generations.

The Big Hole River connects all of us—landowners, anglers, hunters, recreationists, business owners, residents, and visitors alike. The Montana Folk Festival is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people and places that make Southwest Montana special, and we’re proud to share the story of the Big Hole with festival-goers from across the state and beyond.

So while you’re enjoying the music, food, and festivities, take a moment to stop by our display. Fill up your water bottle, say hello, and learn a little more about the river that brings our communities together.

We look forward to seeing you there!
