Free Service, Supported by Partnerships
This service is provided at no cost to producers thanks to funding from the Montana Livestock Loss Board and an America the Beautiful Challenge grant in partnership with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Heart of the Rockies Initiative.
While the service is free, donations are gladly accepted to help sustain and expand the program:

Why This Program Matters
Prompt carcass removal is one of the most effective tools for reducing wildlife conflict. By removing attractants from the landscape, this program helps:
- Deter wolves and grizzly bears from frequenting ranch operations
- Reduce the risk of wildlife–livestock conflicts
- Support the long-term viability of working lands
- Promote coexistence between people and wildlife
Confidential & Respectful Service
We understand the sensitive nature of livestock loss. All information—including the number of losses and cause of death—is kept strictly confidential.
